I loved this movie as a kid and couldn't help giving it a little face lift, based on the style/branding of the new My Little Pony series. I'm admittedly not a big fan of the new cartoon, but I will say that the animation style is very clean and very smooth, which is incredibly eye catching for someone like me who does vector art.

personally, i prefer the old school ponies, but that's cause i loved the flutterponies. they were such jerks.

Everyone should see these movies at least once, tho. Srsly. I own the Island of Magic on VHS (that's Video Home System for those born before the thousands) and still love the hell out of it <3 i'd love to find the original japanese if it still exists. if they ever redid and updated this series i would be on it SO HARD.
